Indiana law gives you a clear right to see these records. Under IC 5-14-3-5, when someone is arrested, their name, age, address, charges, arrest time, arrest location, and the arresting agency must be made public. Once they enter the jail, the intake date, reason for custody, and any bond amount also become public record. You do not have to give a reason for your request. IC 5-14-3-3 says no agency can deny a request just because you won't state your purpose.
