What Washington County Booking Reports Include
Indiana law at IC 5-14-3-5 requires that booking reports include specific pieces of data. The arrested person's name, age, and address must be made public. The charges and the details of the arrest are public too. This means the time and location of the arrest, the arresting officer (unless undercover), and the law enforcement agency that made the arrest. When a person is taken to the Washington County Jail, the intake date and time, the reason for the hold, and any bail or bond amount are also required public disclosures.
A Washington County booking report will show the person's legal name, date of birth, mugshot, booking date and number, and a full charge list. Since the county is not very large, most bookings come from the Sheriff's Office, the Salem Police, or Indiana State Police troopers working the area.
